SW Dart is an established electrical contractor with over 20 years of experience in the electrical, solar PV (Photovoltaic) and renewable energy industry throughout Devon and across the South West. We are leading the way in eco-friendly, affordable, renewable and sustainable energy. Our team are fully committed to meeting our customers' needs in providing innovative, effective and efficient renewable energy solutions to mitigate climate change. The awards celebrate achievements in the construction industry.

A ground source heat pump (GSHP) extracts solar energy stored as heat in the ground using buried pipes. This heat can then heat radiators, underfloor or warm air heating systems and provide hot water in your home. Although heat pumps have some impact on the environment as they need electricity to run (you might consider installing solar photovoltaic panels or a wind turbine for a greener source of cheap electricity) the heat they extract from the ground or water is constantly being renewed naturally making it a sustainable, renewable source of energy.

Heat pumps are a renewable technology. They convert the suns energy held in the air or ground into hot water to heat your home. This process delivers green, low-cost, energy-saving heating and hot water all year round. In off-gas rural areas of Devon where mains gas is not available for example Dartmoor where your heating is likely to be an oil based system, the government is actively encouraging you to investigate installing a heat pump with a government Renewable Heat Incentive payment as an incentive.

Devon heating specialists, SW Dart Ltd, will manage the design, supply and installation of all under floor heating (UFH) components as a single point of contact. We offer underfloor heating systems that can be used to comfortably heat your home or office efficiently. Our range of warm water under floor heating is integrated seamlessly to provide a heating and hot water system tailored to the individual needs of each customer. We design and supply a complete package with one source of responsibility and one point of contact.

What's new?

The 22 radiators below are connected to an EcoForest 5-22 kW inverter driven heat pump connected to 750m ground loop. The GSHP supplies 300l DHW tank up to 60'C. The water table was very high making for a difficult install but a very efficient system averaging 530% in April.
