In line with Scottish Government guidelines both our Hamiltonhill and Partick shops will be closed from 1200 on 26th December 2020. The shops will remains closed while Glasgow remains in level 4 restrictions. Here in Glasgow, our shops are Aladdin's caves full of treasures! We sell all manner of recycled second hand goods from furniture, bric-a-brac, records, books and clothes to cookers, fridges, electrical goods and bicycles. All money raised from the sale of goods helps to support our community and also to further our solidarity work locally, nationally and internationally.
I have been a companion with Emmaus Glasgow for three years now having worked for the charity in Bedfordshire beforehand. The staff and Board of Trustees have been consistently friendly ands supportive working with companions and community in a patient approachable fashion. I have been able to acquire everything I need in terms of home comforts and been able to contact and visit my parents and my children in the South of the United Kingdom. We are all committed to the long term gentrification of Hamilton Hill and Glasgow as a city building on its foundations of ship building engineering and trade.
Went there today after finding out about this organisation only lastnight. Lots of furniture and starting from a very reasonable 10. The staff, especially Charles, were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Will be going to the warehouse event tomorrow and hopefully manage to purchase a few items.
Would like to say a big big thank you to all the staff at Ellesmere Street. We found all staff to be very helpful and nothing was a bother. Our new furniture makes our house a home. Thanks again Brian & Katie Coffield
