Crown Reduction
We provide professional crown reduction when a trees canopy has become too large for its surroundings. Before pruning, we assess the species, shape, size and condition to determine the appropriate approach. Each branch is reduced to a growth point to minimise dieback and maintain balance, while lowering ropes and slings are used where necessary to protect the surrounding area.
Lawn Care
Our lawn care service provides professional maintenance for customers who have limited time or mobility. Through ATC Garden Maintenance, we deliver the same high standards under the same management as Ariel Tree Care. We use quality equipment and experienced staff to achieve a professional cut, with grass-cutting prices starting from 10 per cut.
Crown Lifting
Crown lifting increases the clearance between ground level and a trees lower branches. We inspect the tree to identify which branches should be pruned or removed, helping keep them away from buildings and passing traffic. This can create a higher canopy, allow more light through, and open up views previously obstructed by lower branches.
Straight Felling
Our straight felling service provides complete tree removal down to ground level by felling the tree as a whole. We first assess the area for hazards, determine the safest direction of fall, clear surrounding risks and establish a retreat path. Directional and back cuts are then made to control the trees descent safely.
Crown Thinning
Crown Thinning reduces excessive canopy density by selectively removing branches, allowing a balanced amount of light to pass through without changing the trees overall shape or size. We begin by removing dead, dying and crossed branches, then carefully select further branches as required. No more than 30% of the crown should be removed to maintain its health and structure.
Tree Stump Removal
We remove tree stumps using professional stump grinding equipment and appropriate techniques. After a tree has been removed, its remaining stump can be ground down to prevent certain trees from regrowing. Stump grinding causes minimal ground disturbance and reduces the likelihood of damaging nearby drains and utilities. Once removed, the area can be replanted, turfed or paved.
Section Felling
When a tree has outgrown its surroundings and cannot be safely straight felled, we use section felling for its removal. Our tree surgeons dismantle the tree in controlled sections using ropes, rigging and lowering devices to protect the surrounding area. Where climbing is hazardous, we can access the crown with a Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP).
