The owner of Moss Hall Kitchens and Bedrooms, John Cothliff, founded the business in 2012 after 12 years' experience in the industry. Having fitted kitchens and bedrooms in a huge number of homes, and for a variety of companies, John decide to bring something new to the industry with Moss Hall. Three years ago, Richard Day joined the business as Designer. An award-winning designer, Richard brings a fresh perspective to design; something all our customers rate highly. Although John owns the business, he works closely with a number of talented design experts and fitters.

We had looked at many other companies (most were more expensive) and toyed with the idea of project managing our kitchen refurbishment and building works ourselves. In the end it was a ‘no brainer’ Moss Hall had all the expertise and experience to be able to do all the preparatory building works and provide and fit the kitchen and appliances, and the quality and price were on the mark.
From the start of the project Moss Hall Kitchens were fantastic. We worked with the designer (award winning) to look at different configurations and style options on the kitchen units and worktops. He was very patient with my ever-evolving design, even down to some very last-minute changes, which in the end made all the difference. He produced fantastic, computerised images which really gave us a feel for what the result would be. We were allowed samples to take home to deliberate on colours and finishes. Nothing was too much trouble.
The units we chose were of great quality, after looking at the biggest kitchen providers and manufacturers we were in no doubt that for the money the quality could not be beaten. The finish is of a high standard and even the insides of the cupboards are in the same oak design as the doors, which makes them look very expensive.
The builders completed the major works of removing 2 internal walls and levelling a floor to the necessary height in good time. They took great care in managing to retain a large section of detailed plaster coving on the adjacent lounge ceiling, which we had been worried about. They also liaised with local planning officers regarding the legal requirements for the work.
Once the work started it flowed easily with communication regarding what was happening when, and the tradespeople who were involved were mostly really good at communicating and always there when they said they would be. For a project which was undertaken during difficult times (Covid-19) the whole project took 5 weeks from start to the last snagging visit. Had the materials not been delayed (no fault of Moss Hall’s – radiators and handles) I think it could have been completed in 4 & 1/2 weeks which would have been amazing.
No major project goes without a hitch, however any issue which arose was either dealt with there and then, (we were kept fully informed) or dealt with as soon as possible with a full explanation. We had so much confidence in this company, that they would get it right.
Every tradesperson who entered our home treated it and us with respect and care. Each one of them behaving professionally and fully communicating what they were doing. They were all very friendly people, and I would not hesitate to have any one of them back to work on our home again.
The designer is also the project manager who orchestrates the whole process and does a great job of it.
We would recommend Moss Hall Kitchens as they have such a good set up, they are a one stop shop which saves so much stress when dealing with multiple trades within a short time window.
We couldn’t be happier with our new kitchen is has surpassed all our expectations, everyone who has seen it is very impressed, and claim it looks like something out of Beautiful Homes magazine.

We have just had our kitchen fitted by this fantastic company. We cannot speak too highly of them, from our first contact with John who spoke to us honestly about what the company’s ethics were. John also set out a plan of how the work would proceed, which went exactly as he said. We met with Richard, the designer, who was very good, giving us great advice about our design. We had very conscientious tradesmen, who were clean, skilled and gave lots of attention to detail.

Just had my kitchen designed & fit by Moss Hall. From the design concept, to the plastering, the electrician and then the fitting was all excellent. Dave the fitter/joiner, attention to detail is absolutely phenomenal!
The end product is stunning, absolutely love it!
I would highly recommend John & his team at Moss Hall kitchens.

We cannot speak highly enough of the team at moss hall. Richard who designed our kitchen was amazing - listened to everything we had to say produced a kitchen design that blew us away and had the patience of a saint when I was struggling to visualise the end product. Guess what he was right and we now have a fantastic kitchen. I guess apart from that the biggest compliment i can give them is that because of their attention to detail there is nothing about the kitchen that i would change or recommend someone do differently.
I would not hesitate to recommend them, the quality and service make them stand out from the rest
