Michael Carter Landscape Design and Construction is based in South London/Surrey and provides a full design and build package.

We have been constructing gardens for the past 15 years and are proud of the quality and durability of our work. We never skimp on foundation work and ensure that the job is carried out properly and professionally. As a Landscape Architect Michael Carter has an extensive knowledge of plants and planting design. We can provide detailed planting plans, supply the plants, prepare the ground and plant them. We use established nurseries for our supplies where the stock is of excellent quality.

With our team of competent carpenters we can produce a very high standard of decking and timber features.

Over the years we have constructed a number of water features from cascading waterfalls to small contemporary structures. Whether they are focal points or areas of calm to sit by and enjoy, we can advise, design and construct.

Michael is a qualified Landscape Architect (CMLI) with over 25 experience in landscape and garden design and a Masters Degree in landscape. We can provide a free initial consultation and discuss the options available and get an idea of your tastes, budget and requirements. For a fee of 300 + VAT we can produce a colour sketch design that will embrace our interpretation of your requirements combined with a design that we feel is both innovative interesting and functional. This usually works well and provides a good basis on which to work on.

Michael Carter, a qualified Landscape Architect, carries out the designs with 15 years experience in landscape design and construction. We offer a complete design service from an initial free consultation, to fully worked up drawings and specifications. Once the plans are agreed we can then quote to carry out the work. While we are happy to provide only design services most of our clients also rely on us to realise the construction and planting. This design and build procedure avoids the conflict between designer and contractor and allows small changes to be made during the construction process simply and efficiently.

Our planting design ethos is one of diversity in texture and structure interspersed with seasonal colour. This has proven to be a great formula over the years. We take into consideration the clients taste, time available to maintain the garden, the hard landscape structure and the all important conditions of the site to produce the planting scheme that embraces all these factors.

We provide a highly professional and exceptional standard of workmanship with both our brick work and paving. We specialise in installing high quality products from rusting reclaimed York stone to contemporary sawn and sandblasted Sandstone. The product range is exceptional and we are happy to advise on what materials are suitable for each particular garden and budget.
