Nestled in green countryside at the foot of the majestic Quantock Hills and close to the county town of Taunton, Mill Meadow is the perfect rural retreat to escape, relax and refresh. A private and gated community with spacious, light filled lodges, inviting hot tubs and a private lake, it is the premier destination for anyone seeking a luxurious lodge holiday experience. We are a small family run business and a warm welcome and personal touch awaits you on your arrival. In 1989, the Heayns family purchased the land on which Mill Meadow now sits, and the family moved onto the site in 1993. Up until 2006, the land was used as a plant and tree nursery for the family landscaping business. The Lake was established in 1990 to provide irrigation for the nursery. Construction on the first lodge, Kingfisher, began in Spring 2006 and Woodpecker followed in 2008. Since then, the Mill Meadow "family" has grown to 8 eco-lodges and 2 semi-detached cottages coming together as collection of privately owned accommodation in a gated community sharing common aspirations to provide a high quality experience in secure surroundings.

Mill Meadow is an eco-friendly resort but we recognise that hot tubs are regularly requested as part of the experience our guests require. To mitigate the environmental impact where possible we recycle used hot tub water and use solar generated electricity to heat and run our hot tubs. If you have decided to add a hot tub to your stay we require you to read the Hot Tub Guidelines (Click to access) and scan and return a signed copy via e mail before your arrival. The lead guest is required to ensure all members of their party are familiar with and observe the guidelines.
