As a family-run locksmith business that moved into Leavesden Road in Watford back in 1961, it's fair to say that we're Watford's oldest locksmiths. Some of you may remember the hardware store, Hemmings, in St Albans Road. Stan Connor worked there back in 1946 and started repairing locks as part of his job. He moved into premises behind the Wishing Well pub in St Albans Road and started trading as S E Connor locksmiths in approximately 1955. Stan was one of the original members of the Master Lock Association and joined the Watford Chamber of Commerce back in 1971.
