DJT Surfacing was formed in 2011 by a competent team of highways maintenance, asphalt surfacing and civil engineering professionals with a strong track record of working in East of England, East Midlands and Northern Home Counties. We service our Customers as a Main Contractor or Key Subcontractor partner; working collaboratively and safely to deliver their objectives in a sustainable and high quality manner. DJT Surfacing has a strong management team whose combined skills and experience provides each of our Customers with a tailored service, innovative solutions and reliable delivery.
Our grab hire fleet are capable of collecting and delivering bulk aggregates and asphalt products; with a reach up to seven metres; which makes it useful when working around restricted areas. Our grab vehicles have the capacity to collect or deliver over 15 tonnes of materials in one visit; which means our Customers do not need their own loading plant to complete the work. DJT Surfacing is licensed as a 'Carrier Dealer - Upper Tier'; enabling us to collect Customer's waste in accordance with the Duty of Care requirements; enforced by the Environment Agency.
Gullies can be inspected and emptied of any debris accumulated during highway maintenance and improvement works to ensure full capacity is available within the drainage system. Emptying gullies, manholes and soakaways can remove built up sediment and other obstructions that could reduce the drainage storage capacity and prevent surface water from draining into the local network. Our vacuum units are capable of emptying all types of drainage systems.
DJT Surfacing are accredited to install IronGuard in accordance with BBA HAPAS (Certificate 14/H223) which has a five-year warranty against durability; providing the surrounding pavement remains structurally sound. IronGuard is a polymer-based bituminous repair system that meets the requirements of HD27/04 and HA014/09; comprising a bedding mortar and interlocking blocks that supports the structure of the manhole frame or gully to prevent early life failure.
DJT Surfacing holds Bronze accreditation under the Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme which means we improved operating practices relating to driver and vehicle safety to protect cyclists and other road users. Collected earthworks and waste/secondary aggregates are processed to eliminate any waste going to landfill, through recycling and reuse operations that are sustainable and environmentally friendly.
We lay resin-bound paving systems to create a high quality decorative finish in public areas and residential drives; ensuring the surface is level and compacted to achieve a consistent appearance.
We undertake patching and upgrades of carriageway pavements using machine-lay and hand-lay methods; depending on the size of the area. Our works can be delivered as a single discreet scheme or as a programme covering multiple locations. We lay new roads and footpaths for local authority upgrade schemes and residential/commercial developments. This includes Section 278 works; which is all carried out in accordance with the Specification for Highway Works covering road base, binder and surface course layers.
We carryout individual schemes and term contracts to maintain and improve highway and other external estate assets owned by local Councils and Parish Councils. Projects are awarded using competitive tendering to ensure best value for our Customers and their community stakeholders. We work for highway maintenance, civil engineering and building contractors providing asphalt surfacing and associated civil engineering works on maintenance and new build projects. We typically work as a subcontract partner, working collaboratively with our Customers to manage safety and programme interfaces in an efficient manner.
