Fortunately, when you call West Wales Pest Control Services that is exactly what you get - and more! - Which is no surprise when you consider the range of experience, skills and knowledge that we bring to each and every assignment. I'm Richard Walters and I own and operate one of the most successful pest control companies in West Wales. Born and raised in the area, I have over 20 years' experience of working in the pest control industry across Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Cardiganshire. Pests are rarely caused by poor hygiene but, people can often leave making the call to a pest controller, hoping the problem will go away - there are only a few pests that have a finite lifecycle that do not return to the same place, over and over again.

Pigeons are found all over the UK, especially in cities and towns where there is a large population of people; enjoying the scraps of food and rubbish we leave 'lying around', as well as warm buildings to roost and nest, the issue of pigeons being a pest is a topic long debated. Bird proofing measures such as nets and spikes humanely stop pigeons from nesting and roosting on buildings. These measures, once their installation is complete, has an instant effect - and you no longer have to spend hard earned cash on cleaning and repairing your property!

Insects can be a nuisance, especially at certain times of the year, when conditions are right; from the right weather combined with the optimum temperature, as well as all the other conditions that insects need, they can soon make themselves a home without ours. From bugs in the bed, to beetles in the carpet, moths in the wardrobe and fleas in the soft furnishings, West Wales Pest Control Services have seen it all - and dealt successfully with them all too! Fortunately, insects rarely pose a serious threat to health; we tend to be more distressed, embarrassed an uncomfortable sharing our home or businesses with tiny little critters we can barely see.

Detested the country over, cockroaches are the insect that can send shivers down the spine of even the most hardened pest controller - and it is no surprise when you consider the issues with these pesky critters. Dealing with a cockroach infestation is essential. You could try to deal with it yourself but knowing they spread one of the most virulent strains of bacteria known to man, would you want to take the chance? Here at West Wales Pest Control Services, we have come across cockroaches many times; we know where to look in a property, we know how to treat them so that you are cockroach free in as short a time as possible.

Bedbugs could be on the increase. In fact, many people have referred to bedbugs as being a modern day issue and they could be right. Many experts believe that our ability to travel widely, both domestically and internationally, has been instrumental in bedbugs gaining a firm hold in beds across the globe. Hitching a lift in the soft furnishings of cars, taxis, trains, planes and more, they then attach themselves to our clothing and bags, taking them home. They will settle anywhere in the house, but prefer the humidity of the bed, along with a nightly blood meal that we supply.

The beetle will look for wood with a high moisture content. Boring its way in, it will lay eggs and then leave the area. Over time, the eggs hatch and growing, with the merging beetle eating wood on the way out, leaving the tell-tale dartboard holes in an item of furniture or anything else made from wood. It is rare but possible to visibly see the actual woodworm, normally we can only see the destruction of the wood. No, woodworms carry no diseases or anything that can make humans ill. More than anything, like other pests such as moths, woodworms are a nuisance.
