In the firestone ballasted system the Edpm sheet is loose laid on to the existing substrate with the option of solid insulation and then held in place with either ballast or slabs (As in diagram below). In the Firestone fully adhered system the Edpm sheet is fully adhered directly to the substrate using Firestone bonding adhesive.
