Let me introduce myself. My name is Richard Cane, I am a third generation roofing contractor with over 40 years roofing experience behind me. This contract was a house that had a complete restructure. It was extended and a double garage added, the original house had a parapet wall running completely around the outside and a Redland concrete 49 on the roof. This contract was completed using natural slate, and we installed velux windows to the rear. This contract carries a 30 year guarantee.

Here we have examples of roofs where the battens had failed, but the tiles were sound. We salvaged as many as possible to re-tile the front and side elevations and used new tiles to make up the damaged on the rear. As long as the tiles are 100% sound they can safely be reused which in turn allows for a huge saving in renewal costs.

Here we have an example of cedar wood shingles; originally this was a chapel and had corrugated sheets. These were removed and we fixed the shingles transforming the building.

With an intermittent leak and damage to our bedroom ceiling at the front of our house so we asked Cane Roofing based upon local recommendations to come and have a look which was in September. Rick and John did a temporary repair to the felt which was rotten and had a hole in it. Rick said he would try to undertake a full repair in December which involved the lifting of all the tiles replacement of the felt and battens and putting the tiles back. The work has just been completed and we are so impressed with their work and attention to detail we have asked Rick and John to renew the back half of the house in the spring.
