We design and make IP alarm communication devices for electronic security systems and for a range of safety applications. Our products' wide range of features have developed since 2002 often in response to our customers' suggestions, to new services and to take advantage of new electronic components. While a high proportion of present-day alarm communication devices still depend on 20th century telephone networks, we deliberately focus on present-day data communication networks. Data networks and facilities have expanded hugely this century, driven in part by a myriad of machine to machine communication services and they offer reliability and very low running costs.

The System Overview shows the Terrier SC communications products, the SPTs connect via Signalling Paths to our Receiver applications, which run on servers in the monitoring centre. The Config Server application directs the SPTs to the appropriate Receiver and is a part of our management infrastructure which includes a Support Platform that interacts with our applications. The SPT - supervised premises transceiver - has inputs and outputs. The inputs are interfaces for the on-site equipment to capture alarms which are turned into messages that go to the outputs and are transmitted along a signalling path.
