King Brothers Ltd are a family run business from Stranraer, now in its 3rd generation, specialising in Scrap Metal, Skip Hire and Recycling since 1933. With vast experience of the Scrap Metal and Skip Hire industry, combined with a modern outlook and equipment, King Brothers Ltd offer an excellent service across Stranraer, Wigtownshire and South Ayrshire. Based in Stranraer and operating from their custom built 4 acre waste transfer station, King Brothers Ltd are very much part of the local community and pride themselves on a reputation for reliability and great personal service.

In 2014 King Brothers opened their current site on Fountain Way. A four acre, custom built yard complete with 50 ton weighbridge, car de-pollution bay and reception shed. This was the result of many years of development, taking the site from a green field to a purpose built scrap metal facility to be proud of. In 2016 this was further developed to incorporate a waste transfer station with picking station as part of the new skip hire division. Our fleet has risen to 6 trucks with over 250 skips and hooklift bins of different sizes to provide a complete skip hire service.

In 2016 King Brothers Ltd launched a new recycling and skip hire division, based at our Stranraer site. We have always been committed to recycling, with our background in scrap metal, but it was decided that the time was right to move into other waste streams. So King Bros Recycling was born, and continues to go from strength to strength with six skip and hooklift trucks, an artic and ejector trailer for bulk waste handling and over 250 skips and hooklift bins available for hire. All waste that we receive at King Bros Recycling is processed using our trommel and picking station based at our Stranraer waste transfer station.
