ARB Mechanical Engineering

Established in 1978, ARB Mechanical Engineering has evolved from a mechanical pipework installation contractor into a fully multi-disciplined HVAC contractor. Our reputation for professional, efficient service at competitive rates has grown through decades of delivering complex mechanical services projects. We employ 15 engineering staff and 35 site operatives, supported by approved subcontractors, and maintain approvals with 50 specifying authorities. Our expertise spans design, supply, and installation of building services including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and sustainable energy systems. We specialise in working within occupied premises such as hospitals and heritage buildings, combining technical precision with sensitivity to operational needs.

Our commitment to energy conservation is demonstrated through innovative solutions like solar hot water systems, heat pumps, and thermal simulation modelling. We provide full design and build services, ensuring compliance with building regulations and BREEAM guidelines while prioritising client-specific requirements. Our long-standing relationships with clients, including local authorities and NHS trusts, reflect our ability to deliver high-quality projects ranging from 340,000 to 2.73m. We maintain rigorous project management processes, with dedicated teams overseeing safety, procurement, and commissioning. Our technical capabilities are supported by the latest software technology, enabling us to produce detailed design packages and coordinated drawings.
