For nearly 30 years we have been commissioned by church, domestic and corporate clients, who value elegant, innovative, yet sensitive architectural solutions from a company which is committed to providing quality designs with excellent service.
From small works to major refurbishments, we believe passionately that the design success of all buildings depends on the quality design of details, and that the overall design of new buildings and alterations should respond to their context. Whilst much of our work has been in West London, local to our Bedford Park office, we have carried out projects across much of Southern England. We have a particular interest in Devon and Somerset where we have ongoing relationships with many clients, and we have worked as far north as Shropshire and Leicestershire.
We are very experienced in the design both of new houses and of alterations to existing ones. In carrying out alterations and extensions to existing houses we are accustomed to planning building works while occupants are in residence, and in all our domestic projects we work very closely and patiently with our clients to assist them through what can be a demanding and challenging process - but ultimately one which can be very rewarding. The work of the practice includes a significant proportion of conservation work to historic buildings. Often this is in the context of overall projects that also include new buildings and extensions, but we also design and specify pure conservation repairs, especially as church architects in the Dioceses of London, Exeter, Bath and Wells. We have extensive experience of dealing with planners, conservation officers, English Heritage and the National Amenity Societies; through the planning system and as consultees and grant-giving bodies.
