Clive Chapman Architects is a design led practice specialising in urban design and regeneration. From an established reputation for carefully detailed private sector residential work in the early years, the practice has expanded to work in the commercial, housing, heritage, urban planning and masterplanning sectors. Sustainable design has long been at the forefront of our work and we offer a full range of Sustainability Consultancy Services including Passivhaus Design, SAP and SBEM Ratings, and BREEAM Assessments, enabling us to design efficient and cost effective low-carbon buildings.
In addition to our experience in Sustainable Design, Clive Chapman Architects benefits from a longstanding relationship with Kingston University's Archilab, the Architectural Science and Technology Laboratory. We worked with several local Housing Associations carrying out POE of a number of their dwellings. The findings of this initial research have been fed back and have informed changes to both their Design Philosophy and Employers Requirements. Our research structure is designed to promote collaboration, effectively forming a centralised sustainability resource for all of our clients.
Clive Chapman Architects was founded in 1981. Our purpose built office is situated on Eel Pie Island, and won the Richmond Upon Thames Sustainable Design Awards in 2000. We are a RIBA Chartered Practice, a member of Constructionline and licensed BREEAM assessors.
