On this occasion, Lapworth Architects was engaged to design and build a residential extension in Harborne for a family who needed more space as they grew. This interwar property remained almost unchanged until purchased by our client in the early 2010s for his family. We re-organised the interior of the building and added a second gabled wing extension to mirror the existing wing to create a large family home with a contemporary interior finish. The new wing housed a fantastic kitchen / breakfast room facing out onto the garden, which could be accessed via folding sliding doors.
