Established in 1993 as the Ormerod Design Group, the practice was born of a desire to provide high quality architectural services encompassing all aspects of building procurement. We are based in Leeds and undertake projects across the UK and worldwide. With a design team of proven skill and fresh vision, Ormerod Sutton aims to ensure you receive a professional service of the highest standard in both the design and administration of your project. In 2010, Ormerod Sutton Architects Ltd. achieved full Chartered Practice status with the RIBA, ensuring continued excellence across our range of services.

Founded as a practice in 1993 and privately held, Ormerod Sutton Architects Ltd. is a multidisciplinary, RIBA Chartered architectural practice in Leeds, Yorkshire, providing bespoke property development solutions for a wide range of public and private clients. As project architects, we are responsible for delivering an average of £3m in combined certificated project values per year and the practice continues to grow. Our team has diverse experience in many areas of property development, including commercial and domestic architecture, conservation, refurbishment, interior design, CDM co-ordination, surveying and planning.

Conservation has been at the forefront of our architectural philosophy for decades and we have been fortunate enough to be invited to supervise architectural works on a varied selection of truly remarkable historic buildings. We have strong experience of working with listed buildings of all grades, including places of worship, community buildings and private residences. Our current long term projects include two Grade I listed medieval churches in Lincolnshire, where we are the conservation architects.

Our clients were delighted to be informed that after several months of negotiation with Harrogate Borough Council, Ormerod Sutton Architects Ltd. had secured planning approval for their ideal property. The brothers run a successful import/retail business and were seeking a property which enabled them to live separately but work together on a single site. The previous use of the land was somewhat of an eyesore, as can be seen below. The new property will combine one commercial unit of B8 classification and two residential C3 elements to enable the brothers to expand their business and simultaneously settle into their first homes.

For over 20 years, we have maintained a strong commercial relationship with Majestic Wine Warehouses Plc and Kwik Fit (GB) Ltd, having successfully delivered a combined total of over 1,100 retail store refurbishments and new builds for these two clients alone.
