At Thorpe, Whyman & Briggs, we specialise in architectural and interior design. Since 1902, we've focused on designing buildable, logical and functional constructions, and with years of professional experience, there isn't a single challenge we'd back down from. Fred Thorpe was born in 1890 and died in 1974, with a long career that included the offices of the famous Oldham Brewery, which he designed in the Edwardian Baroque style. You can still see his original drawings here in our office, duly signed and dated.

Interior Design in architecture is the process of designing both interior and exterior space and then of manipulating that through space surface treatments. In the past, interior design was part of the building process, however today it is more complicated. Interior design has evolved and can be quite intricate. Distinguished at the turn of the 20th century as a challenge to the large retail monopolies, it now represents individual tastes and habits. At Thorpe, Whyman & Briggs, we have a strong tradition in interior design and we like to work with you personally to understand how the space will be utilised by real people, establishing that complex need, taste and habit.

With an expert team ranging from Chartered Architect Design Professionals to Technical Support staff, we're able to offer a wide variety of services right across the UK and Europe. As a standard, all our projects are undertaken in Autodesk REVIT Architecture. You'll find the benefits of this are endless and increase as the software develops year on year. Gone are the days of 2D AutoCAD architecture packages. Like other continually advancing technologies, software for building design is no different.
