For us every project begins with an emotional feeling, an idea, a spark of something special. We gain an understanding of a project by experiencing the environment within which it will be located, seeing views, hearing sounds and soaking up that all-emotional ‘feeling of a place.' By having an emotional attachment to a project, we are able to inject something special. We take pride in ensuring what we do always adds value. To us, being architects is a lifestyle choice. This means we design with passion, with thought to the future in mind.

An emotional feeling is usually the first place we begin when working on a project, a spark, an idea that really inspires you to create something incredible. We look at the environment in which a project will be located, and experience the environment around and within. Views, sounds and that all-emotional "feeling" of a place then serve as the base of our inspiration. Creating something special requires that level of emotional attachment. Adding value ensures that we have pride in our creations, being an architect is not a career, it's a lifestyle choice.

It is generally accepted that global warming is due to rising atmospheric concentrations of 'greenhouse' gases - most importantly carbon dioxide and methane. Buildings are single handedly responsible for an estimated 40% (according to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development) of the industrialised society's greenhouses gases, while transport accounts for a further 25%. It is clear that our profession has a major role to play if we are to make our society more sustainable. As architects, we are therefore fully committed to designing truly sustainable and socially responsible developments.
