We recently completed a renovation project in Blackrock, Co Dublin with Sean McCann.
Sean listened to our brief and redesigned the layout of our 1960’s bungalow. A number of design features Seán incorporated have become our favourite features in our new home, in particular our open plan kitchen/living area and our new entrance porch area.
We found Seán great to work with and we’re very happy with with the design, execution and level of service.

My wife and I lived in our 1950's built home for two years with our two children (now three!) before undertaking our project.
Seán at McCann Moore designed and guided us through the extension and refurbishment of our family home. Seán's design maximised the light available from our north facing garden, and even though the area of the garden was reduced due to the extension, the orientation of Seán's design made the outdoor space much more functional with the addition of a patio at floor level, forming a smooth transition from inside to out. We are really looking forward to enjoying this feature more next Summer.
Clever internal tweaks such as the stairs location and changing the first floor from a split level to a single level has benefited both the ground and first floor space. We even got a spacious en-suite added to the master bedroom, while losing some space from the next bedroom the installation of a fitted wardrobe in otherwise inefficient space has made the change minimal.
The services Seán provided included completing our planning permission and detailed design, coordinating the structural engineer, acting as PSDP and completing onsite inspections during the works. Seán clearly laid out his fee structure allowing us to accurately estimate the professional services element of our budget.
Seán's open and relaxed style allowed us to input significantly into the design while guiding us to his overall vision for our new space. The pitched extension ceiling/roof has created a dramatic transition form the kitchen dining area to the new living space creating an open plan area that we are delighted with.
I would highly recommend McCann Moore, and have already done so, to my sister who is hoping to undertake a project in 2020.

Contacting Seán and Paul at McCann Moore Architects about our renovation and extension project was the best decision we made. First and foremost, they delivered 100% on the design brief. We loved their design and, from the moment we saw it, it was clear that they understood exactly what we wanted. They treated our budget like it was their own and included innovative & stylish finishing touches whilst being mindful of material costs. We really appreciated this sensibility. Seán and Paul also project managed our build which helped us immensely and they ensured that the entire project ran according to the agreed schedule. A standout trait that we loved is that Seán and Paul’s communication throughout was second to none - we always felt that our project had their full attention. We engaged Sean McCann to redesign our kitchen/dining area. Our brief was to introduce light into a dull dining area and to incorporate an old conservatory in the new look kitchen. Sean visited us out of hours as we are a working family and at once demonstrated his propensity for innovative design by suggesting a solution which had never occurred to us. The outcome is a kitchen, which is loved and used by the whole family, straight out of a glossy magazine found in waiting rooms for very expensive lawyers.

We've just finished a significant renovation on the ground floor of our home.
