If you want to improve or extend your property, or even build a new one, QPS can help you. We will take you through the process of applying for planning permission and getting building control approval. If you just have an idea that you may want to extend your property, then we can advise you on what will be possible within the constraints of your site, whether it be a front porch, a loft conversion or anything in between. We provide a personal service with free quotations and initial advice. We can produce feasibility options for you to choose or mix and match and we can put your ideas on paper and ensure that it will be possible to build them in accordance with the building regulations.
Single storey side extension. Very prompt services and understood what we wanted. Very helpful and made suggestions to improve. The builder found the plans easy to follow and the borough engineers had no problems with compliance. I have used QPS on 3 occasions over the past 7 years and have found the service excellent every time. QPS provides a friendly and efficient service in a very professional and knowledgeable manner. The work was: 2 storey extension which provided a very attractive and cost effective solution to an accommodation problem.
I've given it a lot of thought and reluctantly decided to curtail any survey activities whilst we are in lockdown. I know people are using their time to plan home improvements but I cannot justify a couple of hours in a household measuring as 'essential work'. It is just adding to the risks for both parties. Rest assured I will continue to do quotations by email and as soon as the lockdown is lifted I will start arranging surveys again. Until then keep safe and patient and let's all get through it
Well! In these days of peril I am not doing any site visits so keeping social contact to an absolute minimum. Instead I am asking prospective clients to send photographs of their site and a description of what they want along with the address and any details of trees or drains which may be affected by the works. This enables me to check out the history and location and produce a quotation and has proved trouble free so far. I am arranging to do the survey without getting close to people and am.
Whilst I've spent the last 4 weeks bumbling along catching up on drawing and admin work it was lovely today to get a new project. I have had to quote using photos and google streetview and I can't get to measure until we are released back into the fresh air but it's nice to think people are still planning for the future. Keep safe everyone and stay at home.
Just got back from a site visit to a lovely job. The sun was shining, the birds were singing and all the time I was there (1 and 1/2 hours) the only passing traffic was 5 horses! Idyllic.
Very cosy in my office this morning after the weekend's storm. Sporadic hail stones blowing across the garden and the sky is a shade of yellowish grey. I can spend the day drawing in the warm and dry.tomorro w, however, could be a whole different story! Survey for an extension in the diary.
