Annexe Extension to a Victorian Town House in Penarth, South Wales. The Client Brief was to demolish the original single storey annexe with outbuildings and to design a new longer and wider single storey annexe providing kitchen, dining and living space. The Added Value we brought to the scheme centred around the possibility to develop an interesting section, mixing a flat roof construction with the existing pitched roof, culminating in a wonderful naturally lit, airy and spacious addition. We hired Dennis following a personal recommendation and it was a decision we did not regret.

Micro Project to extend the existing kitchen of a house from 2.7m in width to 3.9m, a 1.2m wide extension in total - Small project with Big Impact. The brief also included to provide a Small Utility Room, Cloak Room with WC and the Client's particular favourite space - A New Pantry! The introduction of a large sliding door and the remodelling of steps to a tiered garden gives the impression of the kitchen being much larger and extending into the garden. The doors form a proscenium from the Garden, for the Kitchen as the Theatre, where everything is happening!

A structurally challenging and exciting Project to make use of basement void space, to remodel and incorporate the space into new kitchen, utility and playroom spaces. He then guided us through the planning application, the building tender, and the structural planning then oversaw the project and budget with great expertise. His calm, practical advice was invaluable at helping us navigate the inevitable challenges we struck along the way. We love living in the wonderful space he helped us create.
