Established in 1999, Thorns-Young Ltd is an amalgamation of Building Surveyors and Architectural services companies. Our knowledgeable and experienced team can provide full or partial architectural building design and building surveying services for domestic, commercial and industrial projects, for new build and refurbishment works. We also offer the preparation of detailed specifications and schedules of proposed works for all types of projects, with full contract management of building works in progress.

The service we offer normally commences with a free site visit and a no obligation discussion. If you decide to continue with your project a measured survey is then carried out, followed by the preparation of all the necessary drawings and structural calculations. Following approval, in most cases, our clients will take their approved drawings and calculations to find a building contractor of their choosing. This is the most cost-effective way of proceeding if your project is on a smaller scale, i.e. extension under 40 square metres or a loft under 40 cubic metres, however if required we can also offer further assistance in the form of project management.
