With over 20 years' experience, David established his Hampshire workshop in 2009 after training at The Building Crafts College. He combines traditional joinery techniques with modern design, offering bespoke furniture and woodworking tuition. David holds DBS certification and has taught over 600 students.

What types of woodworking courses do you offer?
We provide one-day taster courses, two-day furniture projects, and three-day intensive courses including the Roubo workbench build. Options are available for individuals, couples, and small groups with varying experience levels.
Can I commission custom furniture?
Yes, we create bespoke furniture tailored to your specifications. The process involves initial consultation, design development, and regular communication to ensure the final piece meets your requirements and space constraints.
Where is your workshop located?
Our workshop is at Unit 7, The Fairground Craft & Design Centre, Weyhill, Andover, Hampshire SP11 0QN. It's easily accessible from the A303 with nearby rail and bus connections to Andover station.
Do you offer payment plans?
Course fees must be paid in full before booking confirmation. For furniture commissions, we require a 50% deposit with the balance due upon completion. Gift vouchers can be purchased from £15.
What safety measures are in place?
We maintain detailed risk assessments and provide comprehensive safety instruction. All tools and machinery are regularly maintained, with proper protective equipment available. DBS-certified tuition ensures a safe learning environment for all students.
Can I visit the workshop?
The workshop is open Tuesday-Friday 10am-4pm and Saturday 12pm-4pm. Due to teaching commitments, we recommend making an appointment before visiting to ensure availability and avoid disappointment.

Had a fantastic weekend with David on an intensive carpentry course. He really put in the extra time and effort for me to complete my rather ambitious plans. I would highly recommend a weekends tuition. I have learnt a lot and have a beautiful desk that will last me forever to show for it! Thank you David!
