I am an architect based in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. I undertake architectural and access consultancy commissions throughout the north of England. My ethos is to make buildings accessible, individual and sustainable. My work is primarily to existing buildings which I restore, adapt, extend and convert. My clients are home-owners, community organisations, charities, local authorities and private companies.
I am an architect based in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, and work throughout the north of England. I studied at the University of Sheffield, qualifying in 1993, following which I've enjoyed a challenging, rewarding and diverse career. The day-to-day reality of being an architect makes good use of my creative, artistic and technical skills. I love design and drawing, detail and problem-solving, as well as project management and, of course, working closely with every client to create homes and workplaces that meet individual needs.
Lovely to receive a Highly Commended award today at the LABC West Yorkshire Building Excellence Awards 2020 for this double-height farmhouse extension. (No glamorous award ceremony this year, just a YouTube video announcement!)
The House in the Woods - Shortlisted finalist in the 'Best extension or alteration to an existing home' category at the West Yorkshire LABC Building Excellence Awards 2019.
