We are a national architects and interior design practice with offices local to you. Our clients are individuals, developers and commercial clients with budgets from 30,000 up to 5,000,000 throughout the UK. We consider the design requirements, the budget, interior and exterior design, and sustainability, as one.

We have a dedicated and skilful team of Architects, planners and technologists. Each is passionate about their area of expertise and committed to using it to deliver your requirements. We have stringent quality procedures, certified to ISO 9001, which we enforce rigorously to ensure you get the quality you require, first time, every time. We use the latest computer software (CAD and BIM) to assist us to design and produce drawings and production information. This technology allows us to make planning applications online efficiently.

With the standards and value only a national practice can offer we provide a dedicated local service throughout the UK. Each office offers the best possible service provided by talented local architects. We consider the design requirements, the budget, interior and exterior design, and sustainability, as one. We can advise and guide you from the start of your project to its successful completion. Thank you for attending the planning hearing. Many of our domestic clients have not employed an architect before, unlike our commercial clients who tend to be more familiar with the process. We have become adept at presenting our services in a clear and thoughtful manner to make the process as straightforward as possible to all our clients. We will respond to your enquiry whatever the size of your project and provide a bespoke appraisal of our services and costs. We regularly work on a fixed fee basis as we understand that this will help you to budget for your project.

We can provide a comprehensive architectural service from project inception to completion. We follow either our plan of work or the RIBA plan of work dependant on project scale. We additionally offer a range of specialisms. 1st Architects are specialists in the conservation of traditional, historic and listed buildings. The team are expert in the use of traditional building materials, a key factor in preserving buildings from a previous age. Our project have include A, B and C listed buildings (grade I, II*,I I) dating from the 15th Century.

We can provide a comprehensive architectural service from project inception to completion. We also provide interior design services when required by our clients. In addition to this standard plan of work we offer a full range of specialities (see below) from which you can pick and choose. 1st Architects act as your consultant and are required to act only in your interests. We cannot have business arrangements with contractors, suppliers or other consultants without making this absolutely clear to clients.
