Derrick Whittaker Architect was established in 2004 based on the philosophy of offering a personal and professional service to Clients of all sizes and for a broad variety of projects. The practice has successfully undertaken many planning and building regulations submissions, for building types including single and multiple dwellings, domestic extensions, school and ecclesiastical, throughout England and Wales and Northern Ireland.

Since its inception the Ledbury based chartered architect practice, which combines a number of architectural disciplines including surveying, feasibility, design, planning and building regulations, has provided high quality consultancy to clients throughout the United Kingdom. The practice has undertaken over 400 projects, many of which required planning permission and building regulations approval. Such projects include new build dwellings, school and religious buildings, changes of use and conversions as well as numerous extension and remodelling projects.

Design and Planning The Client approached me with a view to extending and modifying they're plain 1960's-built home located in a pleasant hamlet in the heart of the Gloucestershire countryside. The original building occupied a prominent, elevated location and was self built, apparently to a strict budget, of brick walls and tiled pitched roof.

We also offer the ability to co-ordinate a full design team including additional specialist consultants such as Structural Engineers, Services Engineers and Quantity Surveyors. We undertake building projects throughout England, Wales & Northern Ireland, including a number of beautiful oak & timber frame buildings in England & Wales.
