Preliminary Roost Assessments (PRA) determine the suitability of your building for roosting bats and can be carried out at any time of year. You'll often need this for barn conversions to residential use. It recommends if further surveys are deemed necessary to support your planning application. When a development has 'likely significant effect' on a Natural Site - then a Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA) is probably required.
