Through our restoration services we work on many historic and listed buildings. We fully understand the need to preserve as much of the original fabric of these sites as possible, so our work is always carried out in the most sensitive and respectful manor. A lot of the restoration work that NC Carpentry carries out on residential properties is often on repairs to cottages and barns, with many of these properties being listed. NC Carpentry has been fortunate enough to have been contracted to work on some of the most architecturally important manor houses and stately homes in the country.
Northants Carpentry was formed in 2007 by friends & now business partners Chris Thurlow & Andy Penny. Both Chris & Andy have worked as carpenters in the construction industry for over 25 years along the way learning valuable knowledge about many aspects of construction. Northants Carpentry was initial formed to provide carpentry services on a subcontracting basis to larger clients and also offer carpentry & building services to residential clients. Over the years the number of carpenters that we have working for us may have grown but our core business model has remained the same with us offering our services from small residential projects to much larger developments.
While NC Carpentry generally carries out a lot of our work on new builds both for private clients and on larger sites as part of the sub-contracting team, we have always been flexible in our approach to the kind of work we take on. For this reason NC Carpentry is more than open to the possibility of taking on residential refurbishment work, whether this involves large scale refurbs, or smaller touch up jobs. At NC Carpentry we approach each job on its own merits and make no distinction between a small residential refurbishment or a large scale commission on a listed stately home.
With many years experience working on all aspects of new build carpentry we are ideally suited to carry out carpentry contracting on both large, multi-million pound sites and smaller residential properties. Over the last decade NC Carpentry is very proud of the reputation we have built up within the industry. This is in large part due to the high quality work we provide our clients, but also thanks to fact that we fully understand and appreciate the need for our specific works to be completed on-time in order to fit in with the development programme of the site as a whole.
