Bell Architects: Passionate about creating buildings that are sustainable and eco-friendly, we work hand in hand with every client. With us, the process is smoother from inception to completion; we offer carefully considered design solutions at a competitive rate, making structures that leave a lasting impression. We have extensive experience with the use of eco-technologies, and are able to apply that knowledge-base into energy saving solutions without becoming distracted by the latest gadgets.

At Bell Architects, we create beautiful bespoke buildings which are environmentally-friendly, functional, and a joy to live or work in. From our first day of operation in 2000, our practice has been focused on combining excellent architectural design with environmental awareness - not just for the sake of it, but for the benefit of future generations. In 2007, we designed and built Northern Ireland's first zero-carbon house in Holywood, Co Down and since then, have become one of the UK's most established design consultants.

As a rural practice, we're tasked with all kinds of commissions at Bell Architects and have worked with a wide range of commercial clients over the years. From designing and building industrial sheds and agricultural structures, to developing retail outlets and office spaces, we do all this and more. We also develop unique energy solutions for our buildings and are skilled in using thermal imaging and incorporating geothermal solutions into our architecture where applicable. We're aware of fashions and fads in the building industry however, and will always give clients the benefit of our extensive experience and viewpoint when advising on development.

Always great to drop into the yard of Corin Giles, an amazing craftsman, particularly with larch, oak, elm, walnut etc. Look at the size of the barn door, and the detail in the oak trusses. wonderful. You will find him on the Seneril Rd, not far outside Bushmills and hopefully he will get an IG account soon.

Do you know how your house energy consumption compares with your neighbours or the local or national average?
