Based just outside Truro, Cornwall Environmental Consultants operate right across Cornwall & the Isles of Scilly, Devon, Somerset, Dorset and Bristol. By working across the ecology, wildlife, landscape, planning and construction sectors, CEC has built an enviable and successful reputation for positively supporting a wide range of businesses and organisations from architects, developers, and private land owners through to utility companies and Local Authorities. Uniquely positioned to deliver an effective range of ecology and wildlife surveys, and landscape architecture planning services from under one roof, our friendly and highly experienced team are on hand to support you through every step of the way - no matter what size development.

Established in 1992, CEC is one of the leading specialist consultancies in the South West. We provide you with a unique opportunity to have all your ecological, landscape architecture and arboriculture needs delivered under one roof, saving you time and money. Our customer feedback is exceptional and we have an excellent reputation for keeping to budget and deadlines. We have a large and varied client list ranging from architects, developers and individual land and property owners, to statutory organisations such as Natural England and the Environment Agency, as well as local authorities.

CEC is a Member of the Arboricultural Association and our arboricultural consultancy services range from British Standard BS5837:2012 tree surveys and assessments, to safety, ecologically focussed and woodland management surveys, as well as assisting in the discharge of tree-related planning conditions with design and method statement input, such as technical details for permeable and no-dig paving. Our highly experienced consultants can advise on tree protection measures and management requirements to ensure tree stock is preserved for many years to come.

Applying the same consistent high standards and attention to detail from small garden design projects through to large commercial developments, our landscape architects will help you with tailored, specific advice at the planning, implementation or maintenance stages of your project, assisting you to meet often challenging budgets and timescales. Working with our ecology team and our arboricultural consultants and cooperating with external design teams including architects, planning consultants and engineers, CEC's landscape architects can design truly integrated landscape schemes that respond to their local environment, are special, distinctive and have a greater biodiversity and sustainability value.

Cornwall Environmental Consultants consists of a team of friendly, dedicated and enthusiastic ecologists and landscape architects with a wealth of experience and expertise in their chosen fields. They are supported by an experienced management and administration team to ensure that every aspect of delivery across the range of CEC services is seamless. The team is normally based at CEC's offices just outside Truro, Cornwall, however during the current situation we are all now working from home. Contact details for each team member are available on their profile.
