Express Laundry is an independent, commercial and domestic laundry, family owned and operated since 1999. Our facilities include a full service Commercial Laundry, a high street Launderette & Ironing Shop and a Dry Cleaning shop. Express Laundry traces its origins back almost 50 years when the Washerette, in Winton was converted from a former dairy and fitted out as a branded self-service launderette.

In June 2010 Express Laundry were delighted to announce the opening of their new, purpose designed 2000sq ft commercial laundry facility just off Alder Road on the Bournemouth / Poole border. This facility enables Express Laundry to compete at all levels in the local commercial laundry market and with the extra capacity available, to offer some extremely fast turnaround times. Express Laundry are now one of the leading independent laundries in this area and are able to provide full laundry services to all market sectors.

Express Laundry provide an efficient laundry service for all your duvets, bedspreads, beau duvets, eiderdowns, pillows and blankets. We are also able to provide a BULK service for hotels, holiday parks etc for laundering large quantities of duvets or blankets. Whether you need 1 single duvet cleaned or 200 every week we can do it. Service washes, mixed clothing, duvets, pillows, sleeping bags, blankets, curtains and sofa covers - you name it we can wash it in our large capacity commercial launderette washing machines. Service washes have long been the mainstay of domestic laundry services and Express Laundry provide these as part of a range of services based out of our high street Launderette, Ironing and dry cleaning stores in Winton and Poole. A service wash is a launderette washing machine load of laundry which is washed, dried and folded before being packed and returned to the customer.

Ironing and WDI (wash, dry and iron) is available at any of our branches and across our van service areas. Collection and delivery can usually be arranged at a convenient time to suit you. Turnaround in most cases is 48 hours although we can often tailor it to your individual needs. We were one of the first, and are now the largest ironing service in Dorset, and our Express Ironing service has been operating since 1972. It is available at both of our high street launderettes or through our main commercial site at Unit 21 Cortry Close in Branksome.

Dry Cleaning is very fast becoming the green replacement to traditional perc and solvent dry cleaning processes. At our Dry Cleaning shop we pride ourselves on being Bournemouth's only totally green Wet Cleaners. In 2019 we felt that with so many regulations, very high water and energy consumptions and extremely high health risks involved with traditional dry cleaning solvents such as perc it was time for us to 'go green'. We sought advice from many suppliers of wet cleaning equipment and detergents and finally settled for our much loved Grandimpianti system in conjunction with Christeyns detergents systems.
