Established in 1989, Straker Cleaning is a forward thinking company that sets out to give its customers the very best in terms of value, services and satisfaction due to continued development, training and the most up to date machinery. We use the most modern efficient methods incorporating micro-splitting, detergent free, bleach free solutions, which has lead to 6 Green Business awards since 2006. Our Carpet & Upholstery cleaning is carried out using the latest solutions and machinery, to our customers this means safe solutions with outstanding results.

I came into the cleaning industry in 1982 and worked for companies such as Scrubbers of Putney and Kingcome Sofas of Fulham. I went out on my own and set up Straker Cleaning in 1989 and I have now built up an extensive customer base. The properties we work in range from student digs through to family homes and from pubs / hotels on to The Archbishop of Westminster's grand residence and The Houses of Parliament. As a former member of The Royal Military Police (TA), I can offer a secure, discreet and reliable service.

Carpets are generally cleaned using the HWE method, ( hot water extraction ) as this is the most thorough way to deep clean and rinse away soil. Our up to date chemicals, methods and machines mean carpets dry in around 2 hours. We prefer to use microsplitters, which are detergent and bleach free solutions, including M Power (see products). We also offer the LM method, ( low moisture ) using the Charly pad system. This is suitable for carpeting that cannot be wet cleaned due to condition, fitting or type.

Curtains can be cleaned insitu or removed to our workshop for 'dry cleaning'. Insitu cleaning is ideal for maintenance cleaning and where curtains need to be in place at all times. Curtains removed to our workshop are solvent cleaned, pressed, rehung and then steam dressed. Rugs are removed to the workshop for plant cleaning as some spotting chemicals, fringe oxidising and turbo drying treatments are not suitable for the household environment. Cleaning at your premises can be done at your specific request.
