Since then, Craig, his father and his brother have successfully worked on thousands of chimneys around the country.

This chimney repair, started with the stack, which had to be partially rebuilt from the stinging coarse with a new top blocking and 2no 200mm I.D. x 300mm high chimney pots. The pointing of the chimney brickwork has been reinstated with a sand/white cement gauge mortar to match the pointing to the gable end elevation of the house.

Allchimneys offer the complete Steeplejack service. Working at height has been a family tradition and after years of experience, handed down through family generations we have undertaken all aspects of Steeplejack works; from the repair and installation of industrial chimneys to the gilding of the weather vanes at the tower of London! Shown below are a variety of photographs taken over the last 40 years. These photographs include works to church spires and flag pole repairs in London and some shots taken as far afield as Queensland, Australia, where we worked on industrial chimney repairs for the famous brewery, Castlemaine.

Whether you're preparing your fireplace for a roaring fire, or installing a wood-burning stove, make sure your chimney keeps both you and your house safe. With over 20 years' of experience, we offer an expert chimney inspection and repair service that includes custom masonry work to ensure your chimney is safe and ready to use. If you have an open fire or solid fuel heating appliance, and your flue is leaking due to a damaged or eroded chimney lining, dangerous fumes could be entering your home.

HETAS are the official body recognised by the government to approve biomass and solid fuel domestic heating appliances, fuels and services including the registration of competent installers and servicing businesses. Our employees are trained and certified by HETAS to carry out the installation of solid fuel appliances (including log & wood burning stoves) and associated chimney works. Allchimneys not only passed every HETAS requirement, we surpassed them and recieved a distinction for our solid fuel awareness(which includes wood burning stove installation).

Preserve your commercial and industrial chimneys and conduct those much-needed chimney repairs and inspections with our expert steeplejack service. Regular maintenance and high quality repairs make sure chimney problems won't interrupt your industrial processes, while keeping them efficient and safe. Allchimneys have an experienced team of steeplejacks with over 20 years expertise working on all types of industrial chimneys. We have many satisfied clients throughout London, Essex & Kent. We have a dedicated team that specialise in the design and installation of Industrial boiler flues, chimneys and exhaust applications.

This photograph was taken by our chimney sweep before the chimney had been swept. It shows a typical domestic flue from a 1930's house in Romford, Essex. This chimney flue is of brick construction and standard in size, 9" x 9" (the length of an imperial sized brick). This shot is taken from just within the fireplace opening and if you look closely to the right side of the brick gather and further up the flue you can see initial decay of the original chimney flue lining (often referred to as parging).

When installing a wood burning stove in your home it is of paramount importance to use a HETAS registered company. Our HETAS approved wood burning stove installers have a vast knowledge in the installation of solid fuel heating equipment and the expertise required to install these appliances in all areas of your home. We regularly deal with a wide variety of installations, from standard wood burning stove installations into an existing fireplace opening, including the relining of your chimney flue, right through to the more complicated installations.

When you ask us to install a new chimney lining, we take a flexible, stainless steel tube and run it from the top of your chimney to the fireplace gather or directly to the solid fuel appliance. The new chimney lining will remain invisible whilst offering the best protection possible for your chimney. Relining your chimney is simple, safe and will last a lot longer than ordinary bricks and mortar. If you have a problem with your current chimney lining, or you want a new stainless steel chimney liner installed, then you have come to the right place.

Rope access or abseiling equipment is used in many of our working-at-height contracts. At Allchimneys, all of our employees are I.R.A.T.A (industrial rope access trade association) trained and each hold CSCS NVQ diplomas in Accessing Operations and rigging (construction). Fall restraint methods are often used when accessing roofs or chimneys and are also used when installing lightning protection or permanent fall arrest systems. We also use similar methods on all works where we have identified a risk of falling from height.

This page is currently being updated so if you would like further information about our fall arrest system installation services, or any other industrial chimney service then please call us today on 01708 756663 or visit our contact page to get in touch with Allchimneys expert team now! Craig and his team did a fantastic job, they provided a professional service and quality workmanship. They were polite, reliable, tidy & delivered to timescale. I would highly recommend them, and wish more tradesmen had their work ethic and professionalism.

Allchimneys are trained and registered with NACS (National Association of Chimney Sweeps) and can provide a fully insured and certified chimney sweeping service. On completion of all chimney sweeping a smoke evacuation or smoke draw test is carried out and a NACS certificate of sweeping is issued. All chimney sweeping is carried out using rods, flue brushes and vacuum and care is taken that the chimney sweep passes the chimney flue brush through the full length of the chimney and through the chimney pot in line with the NACS code of practise.
