Established in 2007, DK Glass & Windows is an Exmouth window company founded by David Kavanagh. He has more than 25 years experience in the double glazing industry, has a fair price policy and offers a more friendly, personal service than other window companies.

Miss B, a new customer of ours from Exmouth, asked DK Glass & Windows to supply and fit a new uPVC door with two sidelights. She contacted us after her existing uPVC door had broken its welds after it flew open in strong winds. Unfortunately, the previous door was not of good quality and no longer covered under a guarantee. After Miss B called us, we measured and quoted for a new door on the 25th January. Her new door was fitted on 10th February. The door was relatively simple to install although there were a few issues to consider.

Mr & Mrs C were already customers of DK Glass & Windows after we fitted a new front door and completed window repairs at their old house. They had just moved house and asked us to provide a quote for replacing all double-glazed windows and doors. They also requested quotations from several other window companies to ensure they received the best value for money. A regular customer of ours, the manager of a busy letting agents in Sidmouth, contacted us. He was acting on behalf of a landlord of a house in Woodlands, Sidmouth, who required all the windows and doors replaced before a new tenant moved in to the property. We acted quickly to quote for the job, order and fit within a short period of time. Various options were discussed with our client although the design decisions were straight forward since it was important for the property to be in-keeping with neighbouring properties.

Gutters can be supplied in a range of different shapes including square, rounded and ogee. All are available in standard and deep flow designs. Perhaps the most important part of the conservatory is the roof; it has to withstand snow, wind loading, heavy-handed window cleaners and remain weather-proof for the life of the conservatory. Our roofs are designed and manufactured by Ultraframe. All Ultraframe roofs are engineered for the extremes of the UK climate and are approved by the British Board of Agreement (BBA) to last at least 25 years. They are also the only system to have passed the USA's BOCA system; the toughest testing regime in the world.

We use specialist traditional methods such as puttying which allows us to replace glass in different types of frame including stonework as you might find in a church. Dave is one of a handful of expert glaziers in Devon. With his knowledge, imagination and creative ability, he is able to design and create structures which other glass and glazing companies couldn't even consider.
