TAP Fabrications is part of the TAP Group founded By Trevor Humphreys in 1977 and based in Spennymoor, Co Durham. In 1980 TAP acquired Aycliffe Plastics (Fabricators) Limited, established in 1965 and specialised in manufacturing products such as chemical process equipment, tanks, fumes extractors and pipe work, as well as offering installation services. This consolidated TAP Fabrications as a leading North East fabricator and supplier with a client base of national and global giants in the chemical, utility and construction industries.
