Glass is a good insulator but it would need to be very thick as a single pane in a window to have much effect. So rather than have thick glass in your windows it is better to have two panes of glass with an air or gas space between them. Channel Windows standard unit for a supply only and supply and install quotation is a 28mm (overall width) low e, soft coat, argon gas filled, equivalent to a 'B' energy rating. We also offer our customers the option of 'A' rated glazing units for greater energy efficiency.

We also offer our customers the option of an insurance backed guarantee. This insurance underwrites Channel Windows guarantee to you for faulty craftsmanship and/or materials. If we were to cease trading, the insurance will take the place of the guarantee for the remaining term of the cover giving you continued peace of mind for the remainder of the guarantee period.

At Channel Windows we offer our customers the option of A-Rated windows for energy efficiency. Energy Efficient Windows are easy to recognise - simply look for the BFRC Label. The BFRC (British Federation Rating Council) Scheme is the UK's national system for rating the energy efficiency of windows and is recognised within the Building Regulations as a method to show compliance for your replacement windows installation. Window Energy Ratings use a consumer-friendly traffic-light style A-E ratings guide similar to that used on 'white' goods (such as fridges, freezers, washing machines etc.).
