Expression Furniture is a small, independent company specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of superlative quality kitchen, bedroom, living room, office and occasional furniture. We can undertake any project from a very simple kitchen makeover, or the making of (eg) a coffee table - right through to fully project managed replacement kitchens, bedrooms etc. With workshops near Ripley, we are ideally located to service clients in the Derbyshire / Yorkshire / Nottinghamshire areas - although we will happily undertake commissions for clients all over the UK.

For those with very unusual rooms or requirements - or those who want an entire kitchen made to cabinet maker quality, from raw materials - we can supply some of the most beautiful hand made kitchens available today. We will undertake work which can become an artistic statement as much as it is practical. We have a huge amount of vision and will frequently suggest ideas which very few kitchen manufacturers would dare to attempt. These have included curved forms and use of the most exquisite burr veneers and highly exotic timbers - all from sustainable FSC approved sources.

We will happily undertake flooring projects in either solid wood, engineered boards or laminate. We are suppliers of Pergo laminate flooring and accessories. Arguably the best and hardest wearing laminate flooring available - with warranty of up to 50 years! Hardwood floors are either fixed using hidden nailing, or are laid on high tech 'liquid battens'. These allow seasonal movement of the timber whilst keeping it flat. Few things are as lovely as a large expanse of solid timber floor, but if it's not laid correctly then catastrophe can result.

Expression furniture can undertake your kitchen makeover, to whatever level you wish, this can incorporate as much or as little work as you wish. Clearly there comes a point where it actually becomes more cost effective to replace the entire kitchen, but as long as your cabinets are solid, great results and a completely new feel can be achieved by replacing some or all of the fascias, worktops etc. Because all our pre-supplied doors can be made to whatever size you wish, there are no limitations if your kitchen has unusual sized doors.

This can include literally anything which doesn't fall into the category of 'fitted furniture'. Our style tends to be non-fussy contemporary, allowing the natural beauty of the wood to shine through and express itself. We can work to customer requirements or will happily design a piece to suit your tastes and requirements. There are few things we won't undertake, but if we feel that we're not the best person for a specific choice of material or style, we will simply say so. As with everything we make, high quality and longevity come as standard, together with friendly advice on the best way to look after a piece.
