The government scheme launched in September 2020, and will run until 31 March 2022 (having been extended in November 2020). The government anticipates that around 650,000 homes in England will be covered by the grant. Eligible improvements include heat pumps and new insulation, which can help to lower your running energy costs. But it's important to note that you cannot pick and choose which improvements you apply for. Both homeowners and landlords are eligible, although new build domestic properties and non-domestic properties (such as shops and offices) are not.
