KME's design engineers use the latest 3D solidworks design software to produce conceptual designs through to large assembly designs. We can quickly produce production ready 2D drawings that clearly communicate how the design should be manufactured. KME have invested in state of the art laser cutting technology to produce consistently accurate components across a wide range of materials and sheet thickness. We can supply cut only kits or carry out additional operations. KME have invested in surface finishing equipment for customers who require high standards of material preparation prior to painting.

KME Steelworks have been a Precast Concrete Mould Manufacturer for over 35 years. All steel moulds are 3D Cad designed and manufactured in-house. Emphasis is on ease of use with fast strip down and assembly to maximise product output. We pride ourselves on finding sensible practical solutions to the challenging problems encountered during steel mould design. Either steel mould design offers great versatility permitting the cost effective creation of adjustable bays with uses in many storage applications including aggregate, recycled materials, silage and much more.

We use the latest CO2and Fiber laser cutting technology to produce consistently accurate components across a wide range of materials and sheet thickness. Our cutting range in mild steel is from 0.8mm up to 25mm, we also stock a full range of Aluminium, Stainless and Wear Resistant steels. All parts are automatically nested onto a raw material sheet to ensure the best possible use of material and best value for our customers. Our lasers operate on a shift pattern to provide a fast order turn-around service.

KME offer a wide range of fabrications services ranging from one off prototyping to large production batches. We have the specialist equipment to deal with a wide range of requirements from our customers. KME have a team of highly experienced welders that have the capacity to produce high quality welds on a number of different surfaces and angles. Our fabricators have a wealth of experience and are capable of producing precision fine sheet metal components as well as large fabricated assemblies; they work to a high dimensional accuracy using a wide variety of materials including mild steels, stainless steel and aluminium.
