Wow! I've known about Big Finish's Doctor Who audios for ages, but have only recently 'discovered' them after finding 'Dark Eyes' 1 and 'Counter Measures' 1 in a charity shop! I was totally blown away! Now I'm collecting Jago and Litefoot' and more! If you love classic Doctor Who (and spin offs) then Big Finish is for you. Awesome stuff.
This company has been producing original Doctor Who stories, featuring original Doctor Who actors since 1999! The care taken over these audio adventures is remarkable. Scripts are very carefully written in the style of the Doctor Who stories of the day, with a few tweaks to make them work in the audio medium. The sound design often makes you forget you're just listening and immerses you wholeheartedly in an imaginary world. And original Who actors like Sylvester McCoy and Colin Baker often do a better job on these than they did in the original show!
Hello again. If you like audio drama, where the story happens in your mind's eye, you'll find plenty to enjoy. If you like sci-fi, fantasy and good storytelling you'll love it. Doctor Who fans in particular, do take the plunge. Classic Who adventures, NuWho adventures, Original characters and Torchwood there's a universe of new stories to enjoy.
