We recently experienced a leak from the central heating oil tank. I was worried that due to their current commitments it would take a couple of days for anyone to attend but after telephoning the office to explain our predicament and ask for assistance, the team attended straight away and the problem was resolved within a few hours.

Phoned Clachers to ask them to remove and cap a gas fire, which was in aid of a pigeon rescue (needed doing prior to the sweep going behind it), they booked me in as quickly as possible (after we were let down by other large gas firm), the guy that came was great and found himself in a unique situation to say the least! Worked well with the sweep to save the bird (which had been stuck for over a week!!). Not all heroes wear capes.
As so impressed with service I have asked for a shower installation too! Local firms are underrated!
Would recommend this firm, everyone I sook to were professional, helpful and saw the lighter side!!!

Installed new bathroom and done several repairs. Excellent service throughout process. Helped elderly neighbour when boiler broke down recently. Responded quickly to emergency and advised of new boiler, which they will replace in days. Trustworthy, reliable firm. Have recommended to others.

Noticed that I had a leak on my heating oil supply pipe, Clachers responded within a couple of hours, I have used them on more than one occasion and always find them professional, friendly and willing to help in an emergency. Highly recommended for plumbing /heating issues.

Recently used A J Clacher Ltd. on a number of occasions for my 91 year old father who lives in Darlington. From the lady who took the call in the office, to the engineer who came out, all aspects of the company’s service were fantastic. They were swift to deal with the problems and both myself and my father (a previous tradesman himself) were well impressed with their services, efficiency and the friendly manner in which the engineer conducted himself.
