Total Bathrooms is a family run business that was established in Bath in the year 2000 with a vision to ‘transform every bathroom in our community'. Our original staff of 4 has now grown to 18 employed within the Bath area and our mission remains to provide profitable, value for money bathrooms that improve our customers lives. We want to provide a level of service so good that clients and suppliers recommend us and staff are proud to be part of the team. All sales staff are experienced in bathroom design and installation, and they are there to answer your questions and help you with your purchase, whether that be one item, or a complete bathroom suite.

This type of light is either fully or semi recessed into the ceiling which requires a hole to be cut. With Downlights in a bathroom make sure they are electrically rated to at least IP44 rated. More commonly found with energy saving LED lamps the GU10 fitting is a standard fitting. You can choose warm (yellow tint colour), cool (blue tint colour) or daylight (natural colour). The bezel (round trim) can come in chrome, white, satin chrome (other finishes are available). Fire rated models protect the ceiling from fire after a hole has been cut to hold a new light fitting.

The shape of the shower tray needs to match the enclosure so there won't be places for water to escape. It's worth planning for which shape will best suit the bathroom, thinking about how doors open etc & extra room if needed. A square shower tray can be used with a variety of door styles, bifold, hinged, infold etc so can be a good choice for small bathrooms. Rectangular trays offer a spacious shape which is often used with a sliding door, so it an space-efficient for smaller bathrooms but usually give you more room than a square version.

After we have been to your home to measure the space and discuss your needs and wants we head back to Total Bathrooms HQ to design a top down 2D version of your new bathroom, wetroom or cloakroom based on these measurements. This is the foundation for us to discuss your needs and we arrange an appointment with you in store to go over the initial design and select some appropriate products that fit your aspirations, your needs and your budget.

A quadrant shower enclosure gives a space-saving solution that makes the most of the layout of small bathrooms and adds a hint of modern design. They feature a curved front which helps create the impression of more space while the area inside the enclosure isn't compromised. It removes the issue of potentially kicking/clipping corners whilst walking past the shower which you would get with a square or rectangular one. Quadrants are when both sides are an equal size, and an offset quadrant is when one side is longer.

Though tiling is the obvious choice for most showers, many people may consider tiling difficult to clean and time consuming to install. Luckily tiles are not the only means of shower waterproofing available on the market today. Although most wall panels can cost slightly more than the equivalent tiles, you should save labour costs on the installation as they take hours not days. Most people opt for these panels as they are so easy to wipe down when compared to the cleaning of grout lines on tiled walls.

An increasingly popular option for increasing storage in bathrooms is fitted furniture. Much like you'd find in your kitchen, fitted bathrooms produce a clean, uncluttered appearance, with a worktop, plenty of storage space and matching units. An additional benefit is that the void underneath the furniture run (behind the plinth) can conceal a vast amount of unsightly pipework. It is a range of furniture that can be installed into pretty much any width and can be seamlessly wall to wall with the use of filler panels (cut to size panels the same finish as the doors) and worktop lengths and plinths that can be trimmed to the exact required length.

With our range of illuminated mirrors to add a bit of light on the subject, you can choose from having LED or bulb illumination (some of which you can adjust the colour to suit the other lights and also with brightness adjustment for personal preference), a demister pad to stop it steaming up, a shaver socket for recharging toothbrushes/shavers or even one with built in Bluetooth & DAB/WIFI radio and speakers playing music to create the perfect ambience in the room. There are various sizes available to match the basin widths and even some traditional ones with painted wooden frames to match furniture.

From the intial home survey to the final sign off we can manage everything for you, guide you through the process and give you 2 years warranty on all of the work when we are complete. At Total Bathrooms we offer optional one and two man deliveries in our own fleet of vehicles to ensure you get your bathroom, wetroom or cloakroom safely and on a day to suit you. The Operations manager will call you once your order is in stock to arrange a convenient day for your delivery. On the day the driver will call when he is on the way and will stay on site to help you unload and check your order is all as listed on the delivery note. With the optional two man service our driver and their helper will unload the order without any need for help.

Underfloor heating can help keep floors and rooms warm and offer a space-saving alternative to radiators. It can sit beneath pretty much any type of floor, including stone, tile, wood and carpet. These can be a more efficient way of heating a room as it is spread across the whole of the floor and the heat is rising compare to radiators that are up against one wall only. It is a good way to keep a room dry and free from damp issues especially wetrooms where there might be more water splashes on the floor.

A shower pump is a device measuring around 30cm in length, although sizes do vary and can be much smaller and much larger. They boost water pressure in your pipes by increasing the volume of water which is pumped through them. Most shower pumps operate by the same principle. Low pressure water is taken into a chamber and fed into the centre of an impeller which is spinning quickly. The water is thrown outward by centrifugal force and ejected from the impeller housing at high speed. The improved water pressure is visible at the shower head where the force of the spray becomes greater as the pressure and flow rate increases.

Back-to-wall toilets are a clever solution to give the illusion space in a small bathroom while also bringing modern style to create a contemporary look. Traditional styles are also now available if you wanted a sleek alternative to a close coupled toilet. The cistern (sold separately) is hidden behind the toilet pan, either within a toilet unit or concealed by a stud wall. If you can't fit it in a stud wall then you might have to build some boxing/false wall or hide in some furniture. However if you are fitting into boxing/false wall, using a flush plate will give easier access to the cistern once fitted.
