In 1759, the original Carron Company formed the now-famous ironworks on the banks of the River Carron. The company rode the wave of the Industrial Revolution and was famed for their short-barrelled naval cannons, Carronades, used by the Royal Navy up until the 1850s. Since then, we have been at the forefront of modern bath design and as techniques change and new processes emerge, Carron Bathrooms can still be relied on to produce baths with skill and precision, never losing sight of what makes our baths great, craftsmanship.
I purchased a bath some years ago now and it's been great until recently where the pop up waste stopped working and would pop up when not wanted.
I eeached out to the company and asked how I might get the part I needed and without hesitation they put one in the mail for me at no cost or any proof of purchase etc.
OK the picture of the bath I sent was proof enough I guess.
It's rare to find a Company who supports their customers to this level and I am truly grateful. This is a perfect example of a fantastic company who stand behind these products with pride.
I know who i will be buying products from in the future.
I bought a Carron index bath which I was very happy with. Sadly I noticed a small surface crack near the plughole a few months later. The fitter was clearly denying all knowledge however after speaking with Lynn in Customer services the problem was sorted very quickly. I now have a bath installed with no crack. (even though i had to pay for it to be refitted) Very happy customer!
When I first purchased the bath, a Celsius, I was quite happy however just a few months after fitting I noticed a lot of the chrome plating was peeling off the base plate of the pop up waste. (the waste fitting is quite a large rectangle in the Celsius) I was asked to furnish photographic proof which I did only to be told the photos had been sent to the manufacturer (McAlpine). After a few days I received another email from Carron supposedly quoting a reply from McAlpine accusing me of using some corrosive type products that caused the damage. That was total nonsense as we had followed Carron's cleaning recommendations to the letter. Strangely shortly after that I received a call from McAlpine telling me they do NOT make the metal parts of the waste. Then a day later I received a replacement part with no ID as to who sent it. I know it wasn't from McAlpine so must have been Carron. Basically I do not expect to pay approx 700 for a bath and fittings plus the plumbers charge only to have the plumber back and pay even more to have him remove and refit the waste. (fitted about 18 months ago). Up until now I was happy with Carron and their service but the way this was handled has made me change my mind.
Outstanding customer service and superior products led to the replacement of a shower screen within three years, addressing a minor fault.
Fantastic service from a brilliant company. Excellent products, a great range of choice and very helpful staff. We fitted a Carron bath in our last house. It arrived within the week and was easy to instal. The bath remained immaculate and we never had any issue with it over the 9 years since we fitted it. We will definitely be using Carron bathrooms when we redo the bathroom in our new house. Honestly wouldn't go past this company for service and quality.
