Current HSE legislation states that all non domestic premises must have an asbestos survey and asbestos register and anyone who may come into contact with asbestos as part of there work must have asbestos awareness training. If you are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of buildings that you occupy or own and they are non-domestic then you are responsible for complying with the duty to manage regulations for asbestos, as well as being responsible for the asbestos awareness training that your staff need.
