Wood floors keep your feet cosy and warm on cool days and comfortably cool on warm days, thanks to the natural, cellular structure of wood. In our wood floor guide we give you the opportunity to test our wood floors in a wide variety of interiors. Kährs Luxury Tiles is a range of luxury vinyl floors designed for everyday life. The wide range of different designs and colours makes it easy to find a floor that will match your individual interior style. Try them out in our floor guide.

Kährs' long history is lined with a series of innovations that have shaped the entire global wood flooring industry over the years - from the invention of the multi-layer board to the glue-less Woodloc® locking joint. The wood knowledge we have accumulated over the years has been passed down from generation to generation. We are constantly discussing new ideas how to improve our floors. At work, we are trying, testing and eventually succeeding. But the goal is always the same: how to find ways to make our floors even better looking, stronger, easier to install and more sustainable.

The temperature of both the room and floor materials must be between +18°C and +25°C. Make sure the floorboards have been stored within this temperature range for at least 24 hours before you begin laying your floor. Kährs Luxury Tiles can be laid on top of most underlays. The underlay should be clean, dry, solid and flat. Remove all existing wall-to-wall carpeting or similar floor coverings. If the vinyl floor is to be laid on top of concrete, the relative humidity (RH) can be a maximum of 85% in the underlay.

As with many other products, a certain amount of maintenance is required to keep a floor in good condition. With proper maintenance, your engineered wood floor will retain its beauty for years to come. Light floors, are typically more sensitive to wear-and-tear than dark ones, and therefore require more frequent cleaning and maintenance. Our wood floors are durable and easy to keep clean, but there are some things you need to think about. Put soft pads on the bottom of table and chair legs and keep an eye that they haven't fallen off.

Installing a wood floor from Kährs is quick and simple thanks to our innovative locking joint system Woodloc®. The Woodloc-system locks the boards together mechanically, eliminating gapping in between the boards. The superior fit also enhances the floor's performance and durability. It's important that the relative humidity remains between 30-60% during and after installation. Room and material temperature should remain between 15-23° C, so make sure the wood packs are stored in this environment for at least 24-hours before installation.

Kährs is one of the world's oldest and most innovative manufacturers of wood and parquet floors. Our innovations have radically transformed the global wood flooring industry and contributed towards sustainable development. We are always trying to find ways to make our production process more environmentally friendly, including when we manufacture floors from other materials like vinyl. We combine wood floors with their natural characteristics and vinyl floors with innovative technology to offer a range of the highest quality.

Since the very beginning and through all our actions, we've always been committed to quality, sustainability and durability. This ranges from our choice of the best raw materials for wood flooring from our 3,000 timber suppliers and the various surface treatments we use, to our vinyl floors and overall production. EMAS is the EU's voluntary eco-management and audit scheme. EMAS aims to streamline and constantly improve environmental work at companies and organisations and to pass on reliable messages to the market concerning the results of environmental work, by means of audited and approved environmental reports and other forms of environmental communication in advertising and marketing.

Khrs engineered wood floors come in three different constructions: 3-layer, 2-layer and veneer. What to choose depends on whether you want to be able to re-sand the floor - and whether the best option is to install the floor floating or glued-down.
