Set up in 1979 by carpet fitter Mike Barber, 'Mike Barber Carpets' was the first independent carpet store in Stratford upon Avon. Sons Simon and James joined the business in the early 90's and and over the last 25 years have grown barbers flooring into over 6,000sq ft of retail space deditcated to carpets, wood and hard floors. 2012 saw the creation of a brand new rug studio housing the largest range of rugs outside of London and last year 'barbers sanding & sealing' was born. We work hard to advise and inspire our clients, ensuring we deliver a floor that is the perfection foundation for your space.

We have 100s of carpets in stock and are always happy to supply samples for you to look at in your own home. Traditionally referred to as 'luxury vinyl flooring', we specialise in Amtico and Karndean flooring and are an Amtico One retailer. Both British companies, these luxury floor tiles are available in a huge range of design styles such as stone, wood and marble. Our sales team can offer you a personalised design experience via our in-store room visualiser which allows you to upload images from your home to create stunning floors.

There are so many types of wood flooring on offer - solid wood, engineered wood or laminate. We stock 100s of woods and specialise in bespoke decorative wooden flooring. Laid in patterns such as herringbone or chevron, solid wood blocks can be coloured and finished to create a truly unique floor. For a more cost effective option, we have laminate flooring in stock.

If you are looking to restore old floors hidden under carpets for years or your current floor is looking tired, worn or discoloured, our sanding and sealing team can help breathe life back into it. The sanding process involves removing the top surface of the floor with specialised sanding machines to help reduce dust. Floors are then coated with a protective sealant such as hard wax or varnish. We are more than happy to provide test samples to help you achieve the perfect colour and finish.

We have the largest rug showroom in the area stocking rugs from around the world from traditional to contemporary. Our buying team keep up to date with ever changing trends ensuring our stock is constantly changing. We stock a huge range of brands, and if it's not in stock, we can order rugs in any size or colour.
