Both solid and engineered wood and Laminates are all extremely durable. They offer a natural beauty over laminate which has a pattern repeat. Solid and engineered wood surfaces may have similar patterns if the wood comes from the same part of the tree but are never exactly the same. Both woods and laminate surfaces are easily cleaned. Solid wood has the advantage of being able to be re-finished a number of times, has natural beauty and is an extremely durable floor covering. Alternatively, engineered is created by alternating the direction of the woodgrain in each layer a very stable material is produced with a 5mm or so decorative layer.
