I began my apprenticeship as a carpet fitter working with my father in the family carpet business when I left school in 1973 and have continued to service the domestic carpet fitting market ever since. I do not supply or sell carpets at all. Instead I fit and repair the carpets that my customers in Richmond Surrey and elsewhere already have. They may be new carpets. Usually they will be older fitted carpets that need attention from a carpet fitter for one reason or another. Unlike many tradesmen who sometimes fail to keep appointments, I make a big effort to be reliable.
Examples of such common carpet repairs would be the replacing or patching of worn areas ( stairs included ) pet damage, stains, rips, tears and carpet burns. Fixing and repairing carpets has made up a large part of my workload in the 36 years that I have spent working as a carpet fitter. Over time I have built up a lot of experience in carpet repair and I can usually achieve good results repairing damaged carpets in most cases. Most carpet repairs are 'Small jobs' which is fine with me. Usually they are not urgent and so can fitted in around other jobs in the Richmond Surrey area, thereby keeping traveling time for me and costs for you to a minimum.
I specialise in domestic carpet cleaning in customers homes. I prefer not to clean carpets in offices, pubs, schools and public buildings etc. Many companies that clean carpets are general cleaning contractors who clean everything. The staff that they send to clean your carpets today, may be cleaning windows, houses, offices or even ovens tomorrow. I am a specialist carpet cleaner. I only clean carpets and have done so since 1973. I am a 'One man band' business operating in the Richmond Surrey area.
If you are more than 30 minutes drive away from Richmond then I am still perfectly willing to carry out even small jobs if you are in no great hurry. I might ask you to wait a little bit longer than normal, until I have another job nearby. Apart from that I have no problem at all with driving for half an hour or so.
